Personal information such as names, physical addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and credit card information are only collected when a site user voluntarily provides such information. COLLECTION OF PHONE NUMBERS

We collect your phone numbers only when you voluntarily provide them to us, for example, during transactions, inquiries, or when you sign up for our promotional messages. You can opt in to receive these SMS messages either by clicking on  on the welcome pop-up (which shows to new users) or in the checkout by checking your SMS sign-up and providing your phone number.

USE OF PHONE NUMBERS FOR SMS

Your phone numbers are primarily used to provide you with personalized services, updates, and promotional offers. These text messages may relate to our products, services, discounts, or any updates that we think may interest you.  We may also provide special discounts or offers through SMS messages. SMS messaging charges may be applied by your carrier. We will only share your phone number with our SMS provider, subject to their privacy policy.  

PRIVACY OF PHONE NUMBERS

Once you have opted out, we will not send you any more SMS messages, nor will we sell or transfer your phone number to another party.

ACCESS TO PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNTS

You do not need to sign up for SMS Messages to receive information about current promotions but certain promotions will be exclusive to our SMS/text messaging program. Codes and promotions are available for a limited time and may be changed or removed at any time.

We may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat your information by placing a prominent notice on our site.

In general, you may visit the site without disclosing who you are or revealing any personal information. Our servers capture your IP address, your browser type and language, access times, the content of any undeleted cookies that your browser previously accepted from Mountain Expedition Supply and the referring website address. This information is compiled for proof of consent, and statistical use, to determine such things as, the number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed, etc. Such information will be used by Mountain Expedition Supply to measure and understand the use of our site and in our attempts to improve the functionality and content of our site.

Mountain Expedition Supply uses as an e-commerce platform.  Your data is processed for the following purposes: preventing risk and fraud when an order is placed, answering questions or providing other types of support regarding an online order, improving site experience, providing reporting and analytics, testing out features or additional services, and assisting with marketing, advertising, or other communications.

Mountain Expedition Supply uses “cookies”. Klaviyo- We use Klaviyo as an email and SMS delivery service to send users information about our products and/or services.  This software stores order data, warranty registration data, email subscribers, SMS subscribers, account holders, and contest entries. If you would like to delete your data, please email contact us.

WE WILL NOT SHARE OR SELL YOUR INFORMATION

Mountain Expedition Supply will not disclose personal information to third parties other than Mountain Expedition Supply, unless such disclosure is agreed to by the site user as a part of the information collection process, or unless such disclosure is required by law.

SECURITY

Our site uses standard security measures to protect against the altering, loss or misuse of the information under our control. When product purchases are made using credit card information, such information is transmitted using industry standard, SSL (secure socket layer) encryption. We do not store such financial information on our servers. Our site may at times contain links to other sites of third parties. We are not responsible for the content of those sites or for their respective privacy practices.

Mountain Expedition Supply may revise its Privacy Policy from time to time. As a user, you are responsible when you visit our site, to review the current policy. If you are not in agreement with the then current policy, you should discontinue the use of our site.

We ask that visitors considered legal minors (18 years and younger) do not provide information to our site without the consent of their parents.
